Sakae Teppanyaki

I have got to stop with the Japanese food! Another jap eatery to introduce..a sideline from the famous Sakae Sushi.. the Teppanyaki line. The chefs use alot of garlic and shoyu to flavor the food, so if you enjoy a milder taste, this might be too salty for you. The dinner menu is more colorful than its lunch counterpart, thus accounting for the difference in price as well. The chicken set, for e.g. includes chicken, salmon, oyster, mushrooms, rice and soup ($17.90++). The seafood set had tiger prawns (they were quite tiny imo), scallops, duck (how weird is that? but the duck is really good - flavorful to a T), mushrooms, rice and soup ($18.90++). It is quite enjoyable to watch the chef while waiting for your food. something to do at least. well, i took quite a number of photos =) enjoy!

p.s.: if you're thinkin between sakae sushi and the teppanyaki though, dun think further..go for the sushi

Curry Favor

If you like curry, definitely visit this place at least once, or everytime the cravin' hit. and if u like ur spice, ask for their spicy instead of regular. it's goooood i tell u, gooood... japanese curry with the heat. the rice matches up to jap standard, along with the pickles. and i love it that the curry comes in the pot (if you order katsu and the likes instead of the stewed stuff). portion is huge. go for the lunch offer which comes with a salad/soup and a drink...totally worth it. i'll let the pics say it all.. hopefully.
